heal the past
love the present
light the future
Have You Ever Heard of a peak experience?
It’s not that different from what it sounds like.
Epiphanies, lightning rod ideas, moments of intense clarity, pure joy, true love, deep fulfillment – these are peak experiences that have the power to change our lives.
It goes without saying that peak experiences are very, very good things. We want them in our lives.
Stone psychology helps you climb the mountain
My approach to therapy is based on supporting my clients to become the best versions of themselves, living lives that are filled with peak experiences, and getting to the top of their proverbial mountain.
To get there, I believe you need to do three things …
Heal Your Past
This is like learning to safely navigate the mountain. Together, we safely navigate past life experiences, bring healing to past trauma, and make sense of what happened so you can stop feeling stuck and start feeling free.
Love Your present
Together we develop practices – like mindfulness, healthy boundaries, loving yourself and others – to allow you to more freely enjoy what’s here right now. Learning how to love the present is about feeling genuinely grateful for what’s here and feeling settled and satisfied in your life.
Light Your Future
Together, we work to amp up your excitement for life, your clarity about the life you love, and the motivation and optimism to get there. We explore practices for aligning your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviours with the life you love.
Finding the right support matters.
Research tells us that a good fit between you and your therapist is vital for success — and as a client of therapy myself, I know that’s true.
I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy.
Together, we’ll work on the skills you need to face your current challenges, and change your future for good.
I trust you to bring the expertise on your life, your inner world and your dreams.
You can trust me to bring expansive education and professional training, blended with twenty-years experience in the field.
You should hear yourself talk.
You’ll feel so much better.
Life is beautiful and brutal. No one makes it through without scars.
If you’re coping with a loss; going through a transition; living with stress, depression, or anxiety; or simply want to experience more joy in your life, therapy can help.
I won’t treat you like a patient with a problem.
Instead, you’ll feel like a trusted friend — I will engage with you openly and collaboratively, so together we can create real and meaningful change.
Whether this is your first time meeting with a therapist or you’ve been in therapy since childhood, my aim is to make sure you feel welcome and safe.
“I have visited my own dark places and have found my way back home, to myself, with the support of therapists, mentors, guides and teachers. I would like to offer this support to you.”
