This summer has been all about slowly, graciously & compassionately unraveling knots of trauma and shining light on the dark bits of my psyche.

Here’s the bit of wisdom that snuck into my awareness during the summer :: if it wasn’t for my suffering, I’d still be asleep. 

These days I’m diving into healing the past with joy instead of being shackled with fear & dread.

I’m letting myself feel what I feel.

And, when I feel the need to control those uncomfortable emotions, I’m gonna take a deep breath and open my heart to the possibility of a cognitive miracle.
